A one-two punch today, I got my books from Rigged Books
First I’ll talk on “I’m Scared of Fruit” by Anatola Howard
Howard is an extremely talented young draftsman, and definitely someone to keep an eye on. This short story of growing up is very poetically written and resonate. Well worth a read for anyone interested in comics.
Second I have “Cat City” by Liz Lehman
This is actually my second read through of Cat City, I had borrowed a friend’s copy and fell in love with this book. Cat City is about three friends and the transformations that life thrusts upon you. A very textural rendering paired with the strongly designed characters. Cat City is on my must read list, and I’m excitedly waiting on more stories from this setting.
Rigged Books being a new Micro-publisher on the scene is extremely reasonably priced, with high quality books, as well as a very quick order turnaround time.
